System Specs in Profile needs updating

Is'nt it about time this forum update the drop down selections that are available. Years ago when I was programming in DOS 128 MB (yes megabytes) was an overkill.

The OS drop down needs to ask XP32, XP64, Vista32./64.....etc
Next the RAM drop down box offers "Less than 128" (I have more RAM in my mouse :) all the way up to "over 1GB" Who uses only 1GB?

Also it needs to offer more specific options on RAM size and speed.
What about the motherboard info and also what version of Vegas.

Can Vegas run on 128MB of RAM?

My first computer (an Altair 8800) came with 256 BYTES of RAM, which I upgraded to 1,024 bytes (for $400), then I upgraded again later to 32 kilobytes. I felt like a power user.

My first was a 286 then upgraded to 386 when the 1st Pentium came out” WOW”

i know older versions of vegas can run on 128mb ram.

But while I agree it needs updating... people who say vegas doesn't work don't even have it filled out so it's kind of pointless! :)

Yea, I was just thinking about that the other day when I updated my system info to say I was finally using Vista 64 and it wasn't even an option. :(

Hey.. do you think they can drop the CD Burner field? (do they even make CD burners anymore?) Maybe swap that for a Blu-ray burner field. ;-)

I remember running ACID 2 on a 100MHz celeron chip with 48MB RAM and Windows 3.11. I think i had a 300MHz AMD K6 chip and 128MB RAM when i was running VideoFactory 1/2 and Vegas 3.

I wrote an NLE on the ol' Apple //gs platform with a 2.8MHz (not GHz) processor, 1.25MB (not GB) RAM, and an 800KB floppydrive. Now that was primitive! But, it did have 3D titling capability.

When I started working for Micron Computer we just got the first Pentium 60mhz processor man was that fast...

now we have 8core 3Ghz procs very cool...

I could of sworn the 486's were as fast, and faster, and the original Pentium's, up until they stopped making 486's go faster. :) I know I had a 486DX2/80 that out performed a Pentium 100 no problem (my buss was at 40mhz, pentium's was at 25)
