Taking snapshots

How do I change the image resolution when taking snapshots off my video clip? My default res is 321x240 and I want this to be higher. I capture my video off my satellite system at 352x240 since my cap card driver only allows me at this format.

To quote an earlier message by SonicDennis:

"No problem, you can get clean, full-size still images from Vegas.

Right-click on the Video Preview and pick "Display at project size".

Set your project property "Interlace" format to "progressive" and the (advanced property) "Deinterlace method" to "Interpolate" so you won't get any interlace artifacts in your images. Make sure to set the interlace property back before you render your project, you only want progressive for the still capture step.

Use "Save Timeline snapshot to file" because it deals with pixel aspect ratio, while "Copy Snapshot" does not."

Spidey,

You are getting rather small frames. Maybe you should try modifying your project video properties to "upsample" your video to a bigger frame size. Or, if you are editing your frame grabs in a separate bitmap editor (Photoshop, for example), you could upsample them there.
