Task Priority During Render

Has anyone changed the processing time in Task Manager from Normal to High for vegas30.exe when rendering and noticed that it helps reduce the overall time in rendering? I'm trying this for my first time since my first render took 17 hours and have to do it again. If it helps for me, I'll post my results.

One thing I'm noticing so far, is that my Approximate Time Left window during the render jumped from 2 hours to 23 hours in the first hour of rendering. I'll have to wait and see...

Thanks,
Ron

I have tried it- didn't seem to make much if any difference.

I tried it in 'real time' (which I don't recommend) and a render went from 8:17 to 7:55 - however it was a very very CPU intensive render due to the high intensity of effects throughout most of the 10 min video. Under normal conditions I would render around 1~2 frames per second, however this was taking around 5 seconds per frame!!!!

Conclusion - Its not worth the instability it creates with the PC, relative to the gain - under an average type video I doubt it would make an great deal of difference at all.

PS – this was not an experiment it was accident (rendering just after a print to tape).
