tell me. is this the correct setting when rendering vids for dvd use

template is untitled, width is 720 hight is 480. feild order is non progressive scan, aspect ration is 0.9091 (NTSC DV)

frame rate 29.970 (NTSC)
full resolution rendering quality best
motion blur type guasian (whateverthis means)
deinterlace method (none)
audio resample best

this is for dvds and i render mine in mpeg2 dvd ntsc all the time. good quality also but i'm not sure if i got the setting right.

what does motion type blue mean and deinterlace mehtod and also feild order?

If you are going to be using DVD Architect, simply select the appropriate DVDA NTSC or PAL template. All the settings are correct for up to about 1.5 hours of video (assuming no complex menus). More than 1.5 hours and you'll need to lower the bitrate.

Matt Woodward wrote a very detailed and well written three part article on "video cleaning". which deals with interlacing, Also part attention to the discussion on ITVC (Inverse Telecine).

While much has to do with how to do it with VirtualDub, the article is very imformative for general use and answers a lot of the 'how come' types pf questions you see in the forum from time to time.
