We have discovered a problem with Vegas when using 24 bit project
settings on a Pentium III CPU.
To fix the problem, you need to edit the registry as
follows:
- Run Regedit.exe
- Locate the following key in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sonic Foundry\Vegas\1.0
\Metrics\Kernel
- Add a new value of type DWORD and name it 1.
- Set this value to 4.
This will basically prevent Vegas from using PIII
optimizations when mixing 24 bit audio. A future update will
fix this problem with out having to use this method.
Please let us know if this solves or doesn't solve a 24 bit
related problem you are experiencing.
Thanks
