Temp Folder Path? Oh yes? NOT!

Ok .. I was about to write here that I wasn't getting Vegas to create a sequential "Crash" veg. It's stopped doing this. Hmmm....

I'm now looking at my "temp" path for Vegas. In Prefs it says:

C:\Documents and Settings\Main User\Application Data\Sony\Vegas\6.0

.. oh really? But now that I'm looking and searching for "Application Data" I can't find it!! Is this normal? Is this something that should be happening?

Weird.

That is a hidden folder. You have to select the SHOW HIDDEN FOLDERS under the folder view options.

Don'tcha hate that? Programs should never put files that you need to see somewhere where you can't see them. I would have thought Microsoft would be a good one to enforce this idea, but they violate it themselves. Outlook Express email files are stored in a directory that is not only hidden, but even when you view hidden and system folders the directory they're stored in still doesn't show up! What the heck gives with that? Didn't they think that someone might just once want to backup or transfer their email to another computer?

Kelly - Big BIG thanks for the IT Morality Support there . . . When I think something should be logical, like: "Here is your Path to your Temp directory. But Nah-Uh?!? We wont let yah see it!!" - it aint?

Sometimes I do the obvious, mostly because it is there!

Good to have this type of support from a true IT-PRO, Kelly, . . . . I don't feel so bad now.
