depends on what you want to do. Protype can do pretty much anything I've wanted to do.

New Blue will be releasing a text plug soon, don’t know much about it, but it has some useful features
Heroglyph is a very good text animator the latest update is 64 bit, I still prefer the older layout because of habit and use it instead
