is there any way to create depth to text? Im making this video and I want 3D text but ACTUAL 3d text where i can turn the text in Vegas and see that it has depth to it...i can see it from all angles instead of the side being thin like the regular text....can Vegas create 3d text? or like modify regular text and expand it backwards?

You mean like Boris?

Many people also use products such as BluffTitler and Cool 3D to create titles with transparent backgrounds which can be imported into Vegas.

You can have 3D titles in Vegas using the Vegas mapping functions. I'm just about publishing a printmedia article where I describe the way to do it. Basicly it's very simple. I'm rather busy right now maybe I can drop some lines on how to do it later this evening.

Another way to have more complex 3D title is to use the freeware plugin Wax ( www.debugmode.com ). There are lots of 3D facilities, 3D text is just one part of it. Worth a try!!!

And they did... Try Wax 2.0 its free and its does 3D text and a whole lot more. Cool 3D is also a good option buts its not a plug-in.
