text doesn't fits to right hand side

GABRIEL-CATALANALADREN wrote on 7/16/2021, 6:27 AM

I will try to explain

I have created one track for text. Just one text the whole movie. To change text during time I use framemarkers (?).

I wished all text to be right hand justified. But this doesn't work when rendering movie.

Have you got any similar issue? do you know how to solve it?

thanks in advance

Gabriel

Yes, both are 1920 x 1080, project and Titles frame size.

I have realised than when I check text position in Titles and text properties, position is correct. Issue arises when I check other track properties. see examples below

here you can see settings and misalignment output

The EDIT window for text is not WYSIWYG. You have to use the track view to see the position of your texts.

Sorry, I don't understand. I don't want to move text. I want it always in same position justified to the right.

Here you can set text justification so that it is always on the right (for example). I you doesn't move text it is suppose to be always in same position, justified to the right, in my case. But this is not working properly as you can see in images I attached.

@GABRIEL-CATALANALADREN Your anchor point is set to centre and your location point is set to the extreme right of the display. That's why your text is off the screen on your right.Try setting your anchor point to centre right.

Anchor point is set to Center-Right (Centro derecha), you can see in pictures I have uploaded.

The only way I imagine now to manage this issue is to split Tittle and text and set every part independently.

Former user wrote on 7/16/2021, 10:07 AM

You need to set the CENTER-RIGHT anchor BEFORE you type your text. Then it stays justified right cosistently.

GABRIEL-CATALANALADREN wrote on 7/16/2021, 10:11 AM

I don't think this is the reason. Center-right was set from de beginning. Then I added frames to text and changed text as I reviewed movie.

Anyway, What could I do now all text has been written?

GABRIEL-CATALANALADREN wrote on 7/16/2021, 10:14 AM

I have 2 text tracks. English/Spanish. If I review Spanish track frames one by one. All text is justified to the right. But when I change to English track and check frames one by one. English text is set to right but Spanish not.

I can show you a video of it working the way I describe if you like. I don't know an easy way to fix after you have typed them all.

GABRIEL-CATALANALADREN wrote on 7/16/2021, 10:17 AM

Other issue I have with text properties is when I try to edit text in an already written text. If I put curso in middle of text when I type one character, cursor moves to the end of text. So it becomes impossible to write a whole word in middle of text. I don't know if both issues are related.

GABRIEL-CATALANALADREN wrote on 7/16/2021, 10:22 AM

I have also tried to copy-paste Title and text to other track trying to split all different texts but when I removes frames in the copy, frames ALSO disappear in original track. How is this possible?

@GABRIEL-CATALANALADREN
Here is a quick example. IF you have any questions, please ask. Remember YOU HAVE TO SELECT ALL OF THE TEXT before making global changes.

This is the way I always used in my previous videos. But for this project I tried to use frames to change text in same Title-Text media. I think Movie Studio doesn't manage this very well.
