Yes, you would keyframe it. You start with the full text written out in what ever scripty font you want to you. Then you start with a small mask, like a pen first touching the paper. Next keyframe you extend the mask all the to end of the first penstroke. It's not quick but if you know how to use bezier mask, it's pretty easy. For example, the first letter is the capital letter K. Make a key frame to reveal the top of downstroke, the next key frame shows the whole stroke. Then create another mask at the top of the angled stroke, a keyframe in the middle of the letter and a keyframe at the bottom of the angled stroke. There's other ways to do it too, search this board for handwriting.
Bixelangelo is another little application that creates sketch maps - one of the demos is in fact a handwriting example. Click on the Bixelangelo link on the above page (it doesn't seem to have its own URL)
Note that Bixelangelo is a stand-alone application - you don't need Blufftitler to use it.
