Text/Font Issues

I have downloaded different fonts and put them into the Font Folder and this has worked for me until now. I have XP Home and Vegas will not recognize any font that I import to that folder. What gives?

Think you have to close/reopen Vegas to make it see fonts installed recently.
Can you see the fonts is Word etc?

Re-opened Vegas several time. None of the new fonts show up.
