Text generator from speech

The speech to text generator works well but could do with some refinement. There is no way you can set the color prior to generating the text. It would also be helpful if the shadow and outline could be set.

Of course it can be adjusted after it has been generated, but if there is a lot of text this becomes a long and boring task.

If these (Pics) two panels could be combined this would make life a lot easier.

At present you have to create a preset in advance for how you want it to look and then apply it.

Yes that works ok, but it would be nice to be able to do it on the fly, also to be able to have the ability to add a panel behind the text for when there is a confusing background, to make it stand out and be easier to read.

Sure, I agree with you and think we generally need the ability to easily edit text after it is generated. I got Vegasaur in part because it does that.

There is now the ability to add a solid background to text in Vegas using titles and text but you have to do it one event at a time.

OK, so I tested making a preset with a background panel behind the text, and it works, so can live with this, but would like it to be able to do this prior to "generation", it would seem to be the logical place. Be interesting to hear what others think.

You can write your own script to adjust everything - font size, font, color, background, limit background to text...

Yeah nah, very clever, but I am trying to make life easier these days, not harder. But thanks for the follow up.

@Cmin7669, I agree having the preset created first is the best option. However, if you already have a timeline full of titles and they all need to be adjusted, a script can certainly do that easier and faster and more accurately than you could manually adjust them.
