Text Generator out of line?

I have a single text event, three separated lines, directly underneath each other and Placement set to Top Left.

In the Text Generator they are lined up OK, but in the Preview, the bottom line of the three is about three spaces offset towards the right, and there seems no way to get it back in line.

I have had similar problems when pasting text from a doc, but this was created here in Vegas (4.0c)

Any ideas? - I can post a .veg to anyone who may help,.

1. Are you sure there are no (empty) spaces at the beginning of the line?
2. You do realise that in addition to the placement menu (top left, bottom right etc) you have the normal Windows formatting left, centre, right alignment choices?

Yes , all 3 lines are left justified, no spaces at the beginning.

If I put the cursor immediately to the left of the bottom line, the one that looks correct in the Text Generator but not in Preview Window, and hit backspace, it moves that text up one line, but still indented by 3 spaces in Preview, but not in the Text Generator.

I'm just off for a three day trip - I can work around for now with a separate text event, but I'd like to solve this.

-Does it matter if you change the font? What kind of font is it? (TrueType?)
