So I updated my client, and now whenever I move an image or textbox close to the edges of the screen, they get completely cut off. I have set my resolution to 1920, but It will not allow 1080 in video FX window. Any ideas how i force full use of the screen?

1920x1080 wont stay locked, when text reaches about 1800x980 it cuts off

Assuming the latest version/build is the same as previous, right-clicking the preview will show a context menu which includes; "Scale video to fit preview screen? Otherwise, are both the project properties and 'text frame size' set the same ( in your case,1920x1080).

Your screenshot has nothing to do with the preview screen,.
You show the Pan/Crop window of ????????
If you want to fit in your Pan/Crop screen the content of that unknown event, you have to click on the visual part of it and scroll with your mousewheel untill it has the dimensions in that screen you want.
BTW.
If you want here to show screenshots or videos its better to use this forum to upload that kind of things by this button
I can't seem to push an image into the top corner, it seems the smaller I make the image, the less usable space on the screen there is?
Screenshot please, I don't know where you are talking about, what image and and where do you make it "smaller".
I guess you are using Pan/Crop for things it is not intended for to use.
OK so I figured that out, but now my text is moving as if its attatched to something? It moves about 2 inches left of where its centred, so all my text is off-centre
You have moved the axis point. Grab the star in the center (or use the slider) and recenter it in the text.

Sorry, I am wrong. You need to open the Pan/Crop and set it to Default. It looks like you have tried to use that to repo your text.

If you open the Pan/Crop window on your text image, there are drop down settings. Select Default.
