On any proj with Text Graphics that has been SAVED, CLOSED and REOPENED at least once, take care not to COPY/PASTE/UNDO any of those Text graphics. This will cause all these text graphics in the proj to revert to their orig preset state. This is actually quite easy to avoid by doing a delete instead of the UNDO. As far as I can see, this only effects Text that has been SAVED, CLOSED and REOPENED. There may be other ways that this bug gets triggered but I'm not aware of any that have been documented in a way that I can reproduce them. I'm continuing to work in 9.0a -- taking care - reading the forum for new issues -- and avoiding trouble.

Best advice is to keep saving incrementing versions of your project.
I always do this anyway. I too stuff up and this gives me a way to retrace my mess.
I also now include the full version of Vegas I used to create the project in the project name.

"I also now include the full version of Vegas I used to create the project in the project name." This is a must for many reasons, besides differences in vegas version, its not uncommon for all 3th parties to be not installed on all versions of vegas simplify because of time....etc......

As someone suggest before, it would be nice to have vegas or another app translate vegs between different version levels................
