text slides i have created and inserted have compressed so much that they can not be read.

i have tried saving them as TIFFs JPEGS PSD files etc. the puzzling thing is that the text (no matter what font) is compressed and fuzzy however the footage and audio is fine.

HELLLLLLLLLLLLP? please - thanks kindly for ANY assistance whatsoever?

What kind of footage are you using? What are you rendering too.
Are you using proper videos fonts? (Video likes think chunky fonts, not thin scripty things.) What size are your jpegs? Have you tried using Vegas's text tool?

One technique is the make the size of your fonts twice the size of your final output.

So if you were going out to DV NTSC, you can make your fonts at 1440 x 960.

IIf you're not "brie" from the DMN forums I apologize but, if you're the "brie" who posted a similar question (is this the same issue?) on the DMN Vegas forum, you left out a "tiny" detail and that was:

im making a instructional DVD with slides - when i render it as a sony/avc/aac- mp4 file the text compresses somewhat it then conmpresses even further when i burn it through dvd architect.

My response here is the same as it was there.
Compressing it to mp4 and then mpeg-2 is just asking for problems.
What's your reason for the double compression?
