You put the words to close to the edge?

You need to keep any text inside the safe zone.

You're not taking into account the overscan of the television picture. Televisions show the picture larger on the tube than is visible. This is done for several reasons: the picture shrinks with age so they want to make sure that an old TV still fills the screen, the edges are often distorted so they're hidden, etc. The amount of the image that can't be seen is sometimes up to 10% of the total (though it is often less). Anything you put near the edges of the frame may be cut off when viewed on the television.

When working in Vegas, especially with titles, it's a good idea to turn on the Safe Areas overlay in the preview window (click the little tic-tac-toe-ish pull down button over the preview window). This will draw a pair of dashed rectangles on the frame. There is a very good chance that anything outside the outer rectangle will be cut off on a television screen, and a slight chance that anything outside the inner rectangle may be cut off too. Keep anything that must be seen inside the inner rectangle.

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it.

Can the text be moved into the safe region within DVD Architect? Or do I have to go back into Vegas to edit and re-render?
