Text placement in frame

Hello. I am somewhat experienced with Vegas and am having an issue in one particular video. This issue does not occur if I start a new project, but I don't want to start this project over. I have upgraded from 11 to 12 but no help.

When I try to add text, I cannot place it in the bottom left of the frame. It is almost like there is a "frame inside the frame", and as I approach the bottom left corner with the text, it disappears well before the edge of the frame.

Here is an image of the issue. http://www.meflyingv.com/images/Text_placement.jpg

I did email tech support first thing Thursday but they hadn't replied by Friday night, so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Do your project properties frame dimension match the text event (1280x720)?

You have the PRESET (at the top left .. under the words Event/Pan Crop ) as DEFAULT.

Hit the down arrow and make choose something that matches your project.

Thanks Chienworks. Yes, it is.

Thanks brighterside. I had tried that and just tried it again. No luck

This is very frustrating. I created a prior video from the exact same file with the exact same dimensions and when I open that project, I can place the text wherever I want.

By any chance do you have track motion enabled on that track? If so, disable it or make sure the setting is appropriate for your project.

I see three keyframes at the bottom of the Event Pan/Crop pane. I wonder if they play a part in your issue. Delete them to see if it fixes the placement.

Thanks so much, MSmart. It was indeed the track motion. At that point in the video, it had moved. So I centered it back.
