Text preset

Using VMS HD Platinum 10 Pro, I right click and select Insert Text Media into a track, and obtain the Video Media Generators dialog.

In the Video Media Generators dialog, I set various text settings, font, size, etc, and then enter a new Preset name and click the Save Preset diskette icon to save the preset.

Now I exit VMS, and would like to move that newly saved preset to another machine.

Where, exactly, is the Preset saved? Is it in a file, if so, what is the file name?

Is it in the registry? If so, what is the registry key hive/section?

Is it in a database? If so, what is the database file name?

It's stored in the registry, and nearly impossible to ferret out because it will be a long series of hex codes.

Search the download pages here on this website. Sony offers a free Preset Manager program that will allow you to export and import presets.

Another easy way is to create a project using that preset on one of the text events, then open that project on the other computer, open up that text event, and save it as a preset there.
