Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know that particular effect, but I've done several things with text, including creating a long text which scrolled right to left.

Just put the text event on a track above your video, with a transparent background, and use keyframes and placement to create the scroll effect.

For example, to scroll right to left you'd place the text completely off the right side in frame zero (meaning the first keyframe that's in the Text effect), then move to some ending keyframe (the last, likely) and place the text completely off the left side.

That way, it'll scroll right to left when you play it.

If the effect is more like "scroll up a small bit, rest, then scroll back down" (I'm just trying guesses here), you can do that with the placement tab as well. You'd place the text off the bottom left at keyframe zero. Then create a keyframe in the text event, say, a few seconds in, and place the text vertically above where it was at keyframe zero. Then create another keyframe a few more seconds down, leaving the text in the same location, and finally create one last keyframe with the text offscreen (wherever you want it to scroll to).

I hope that helps.

Hey, that is cool. I just did a rough pass at it by creating one text event, setting its placement to "lower left" rather than "free form", and using copy/paste.

First one has simply "2"
second has "21"
third has "21:"
fourth has "21:0"
last has "21:00"

I set mine at 1 second each, which is too long. I don't see "1/2 second" but I see frame counts, so it should be simple to make it go a lot faster by making each duration short. The last event, of course, you'll want to make longer, so you can see the final message or time.

Tried to look at the film clip. Got this instead:

"This video has been removed due to terms of use violation."

What's that all about??
