text string in a text event

The scripting FAQ (last updated in 2010) states that the text string of text generators is not accessible to scripts.
Has that changed in Vegas Pro 13, or does that limitation still exist?
If not, will this be available in the future?

You can access the various fields of OpenFX controls.
