Text to Speech Stopped Working

Vegas Pro v21.0 built 187 on a PC crashed. When I restarted the application and tried to use Text to Speech, which had been working just fine up until then, a message came up that I needed to log in to use Text to Speech. The warning box contained a Login button which I clicked on to log in and nothing happened, it didn't even acknowledge the click. After several attempts at this, I shut down Vegas and restarted it, loaded my project and tried again with the same results.

I then went to the Vegas Hub window and logged in there and left the window open, as another post had suggested. I then tried to use Text to Speech and now the Text to Speech window comes up, but it hangs up with the "wait" whirly-gig spinning merrily away.

What can I do to make it work again?

@Kenton-Zahrt did you try:

Delete the 'WebView2' folder in:
C: \ Users \ --user name-- \ AppData \ Local \ VEGAS Pro \ 21.0 \

btw, Appdata is a system folder and is normally hidden.

It could also be a temporary cloud/network/server issue at the Microsoft azure servers, restart the PC, or wait a bit and try again. As TTS is now a cloud service since Vegas 21, it has cloud dependency (and maybe also licensee checks) and is not always as reliable as a local application (as in Vegas 20).

That may well have been it. I did some more things, including exiting the app, restarting it and calling up TTS before I loaded my project, and it started working again, but I don't think any of them were what fixed it.
