Text tracks still display after fade

Just upgraded from MSP 17 to Pro Studio 17. My first frustration was that I can't seem to open a project created in MSP17 into Pro Studio! I figured since it wasn't going to happen I decided to recreate my project from scratch since I have just started it.

So I created several video tracks and 2 audio tracks just like I had in MSP. I placed some text media on video track 1 and 2 and a black background static image on video track 4. I set each text media to fade in and out. My last text media, even though it's set up to fade out at 20:15 to leave just the static BG showing, does not fade out. Instead the BG fades out leaving the text even though the BG is now not displaying and the text hasn't faded well past the 20:15 mark.

I'm already regretting this $300 upgrade purchase but I wanted to really have the best I could get for this project and I'm an hour into it and all I am is frustrated.

What did you need from VP that you didn't have in MS?

Can you post a screenshot of your timeline section of the problem and perhaps share the project file, sans media?

System 1:

Windows 10
i9-10850K 10 Core
128.0G RAM
Nvidia RTX 3060 Studio driver [most likely latest]
Resolution        3840 x 2160 x 60 hertz
Video Memory 12G GDDR5

System 2:

Lenovo Yoga 720
Core i7-7700 2.8Ghz quad core, 8 logical
16G ram
Intel HD 630 gpu 1G vram
Nvidia GTX 1050 gpu 2G vram

Since my original post I was so frustrated I closed the program (Something I had done 3 or 4 times during my troubleshooting) but this time when I re-opened the project to send you a screen shot miraculously the problem is no longer a problem. Once it returns (and I feel it will) I will post a screen shot.

Is it possible this is a hardware compatibility issue? I have a Dell Optiplex 9020 with 16GB RAM, Core i7 vPro 3.60GHz CPU, my boot/app drive is a 250GB SSD and my data drive is a Seagate 2TB 7200RPM HDD. I am running Vegas Pro 17 Studio on Windows 10 Pro. My video card is an nVidia GeForce GTX 750.

Search for the document "Vegas Pro 17.0 Readme" on your system and look at the System Requirements section. You will see this for NVIDIA Card: NVIDIA® GeForce 9XX series or higher with 4 GB

Sadly, VMS 17 projects a not able to be opened in VP 17. They will be able to be opened in VP 18 when that is released. A change to the project structure was necessary for one of the major features of VMS 17 which created the need for the incompatibility.
