I have a text event on the timeline. I want to have line 1 as part of the text for 2 seconds; line 1 + line 2 at 2 seconds for 3 seconds; line 1 + line 2 + line 3 at 5 seconds - currently, this is all on the same text event.

I want the transitions (when each line gets added) to be a smooth fade in. Using the 'edit generated media' click, I keyed in lines 2 & 3 at 2 and 5 seconds. I also checked the 'smooth' option (right click on keyframe) but the transitions aren't quite smooth (lines 2/3 get added as hard transitions).

One other thing - right now I have all text centered. When line 2 comes in, lines1+2 jump up to keep all text centered...which is expected since I have asked all text to be centered. But how do I avoid this jump?

Any ideas how to fix this?
