Text will not render in VMS 11

I am having a problem with VMS Platinum 11 operating in Windows 8. I have inserted a large amount of text into a project to create the scrolling text banner like you would find on the Weather Channel. It works perfectly when previewing and playing the timeline. But then when I go to render the movie, it does not show up in the preview screen during the rendering...that area is just blank. And in the final file, the text is not there. Any idea what the problem may be? I did check to ensure that the video tracks containing the text are not muted...although if they were, I wouldn't see the text when I play the timeline. Help!

One other thing I should note...the Windows 8 computer I recently acquired to replace Vista that I have been using for years. Just to see if there was any difference, I opened the file up in the VMS 11 on the older computer...it is doing the exact same thing, and I have never had this problem before.

After pulling my hair out, I finally figured out what the problem was, so I will share it in case anyone else comes across the same issue:

It was rendering the text. However, it was rendering it off the screen where of course it couldn't be seen. And the reason it was rendering off the screen was the settings of the file were not matching up with the settings of the rendering directions. In short, all I had to do was in the "Render As" box make sure the "Match project settings" box was checked. Voila! problem solved!
