tga animations

OK, I've finally figured out how to bring in animations
with alpha channels from Cool3D: save a series of tga files
(uncompressed...VERY large) and then put them on the
timeline one after the other (beautiful results...semi-
tranparent shadows and all). Unfortunately, since VF
defaults still images at, like, several seconds, you have
to manually set the length of each image to 1 frame (ugh).
Is there a way set the default import length of image
files? If you could set them to 1 frame, for instance, you
could just select all the images and drag them to the
timeline all at once and be done with it.

Vegas Video allows setting the default still duration,
however VideoFactory has a fixed still length. Sorry-
