TGA files no good in 9a or 9b? BUG?

I can import tga image Sequence in 8. But no go in 9a so I downloaded 9b and no go. The files are 32bit TGA rendered from a 3d application. Opens fine in Vegas 8. But 9 will not take it. BUG?
I did not see anything posted in the form about this issue.

Ok here is somemore scoop about the TGA issue. If I render a TGA image sequence with alpha channel background, Vegas 9 likes it. If I render it with Solid Background Vegas 8 will open but 9 says no. Sounds like a BUG to me.
