Thank You Chienworks! A real PAL-ie . . !

Kelly thank you -I downloaded the PAL safe areas and now have them installed and being utilised on my 2nd Monitor . . However . . could you do a "black and white" dotted one like the one in the V6 Preview? The yellow tends to dissapear when I've got something akin to yellow on the screen . . please. . .

In any event it is MILES better than not having anything at all. C'mon Sony - howzabout it? You got this on the External Monitor for DVDA2/3?

TIA

Grazie

G'day Grazie,

Can you give the link to this? I had a look around the site but couldn't find it anywhere.

Thanks,
Wayne

Grazie, done!

Wayne: http://www.chienworks.com/media/ ... look for the "safe area" .gif files.

Actually, i just updated them again so that the lines are black/white dots on a transparent background. This should make them visible against most anything. So, if you downloaded them before seeing this message, you might want to go get them again.

Fantastic - thanks so much.

Looking at the file name seems to suggest it is for a 16:9 screen - is that correct?
Chienworks wrote on 5/12/2005, 9:21 PM
There are four files. 16:9 and 4:3 in both NTSC and PAL.

KELLY! WOWeeee . . Golly Gosh!

Thank .. thank you very much. Ah, that's much better. I've had a good llok at it through PsP and I see there is kinda inner and outer lines/runs of dots - kinda saw tooth?

I've got it on Track1 and when I turn the SONY Safe Areas on/off the align pretty well! I can now re-deasign my work. What I'll do is make a default veg which has this on TRACK1 - that is until SONY get to give us either a non-full screen-ful OR Safe Areas ON the 2nd Monitor - yeah?

Grazie

Grazie, there is a very good and very obvious reason that they align with Vegas' built in grids so well. But i'll let you ponder my little secret for a bit. ;)

Well, Smarty pants! Yes I did do a Screen Grab myself too . . prior to trying to geting it to align back - back from PsP . .HUH! I couldn't get it to align .. . tried Pan/Crop . . and just gave up!

Grazie

Ah, now there's your problem. I didn't do nuttin' to it at all, except add a transparent background. I just clicked the floppy button and saved it.
