I tried many possible fixes to my problem and none worked. I don't do very much MP4 work so I decided to live with the problem and just render in .wmv format and code convert the result to MP4. Thanks for your input.....DKM

Did you try turning GPU assist off?
(Options / Preferences / Video / GPU acceleration : Turn to "Off" in dropdown.
