"The activation of AAC (MC) failed" when importing media

I tried everything:

1. Resetting Vegas Pro

2. Reinstalling Vegas Pro

3. Deactivating Vegas and then Activating it again

4. Run as Administrator

None of the above worked.

I bought Vegas Pro today, and the activation with the serial number worked fine, but when I try to import any of my MP4s or even a Vegas Capture project, I get this error.

Note that I could download a video from the Hub and use it just fine...

Help!

Since I work with MP4's created in my Panasonic cameras, I've always been able to bring them into Vegas.

Would it be possible to send a test file that doesn't work to the cloud to download and try?

Seems like the same issue as here. Do any of these solutions help?

If the media doesn't have AAC audio this error wouldn't appear.
