Hope you enjoyed it... done with Vegas 5, Sound Forge and an old Fireworks 3 image editing program ... all stills ... whoever invented Reverb should win a Nobel Prize for sound ...

" .... is this for / about anything? ..."

... just wanted to test out a production that's more than just slides and less than full video and I wanted to tell a story in one minute or less ... the sound was the most fun to do ... eight tracks of it ...

Whatever it was it was very good. I liked the light from the moon illuminating the hair. Very subtle.

Thank you ... I'd like to take credit for the hair but frankly, I couldn't get a clean mask in the image editor ... it just worked out OK ...

For a really marvelous use of reverb, see "Mrs Palfrey at the Claremont," a film by Dan Ireland, starring Joan Plowright. There's a scene in the Claremont Hotel in which three elderly women -- one an actress from bygone days -- perform an impromptu music hall dance in the hotel sitting room. There has been a discussion of stage performances just before the dancing begins. The sound design sneaks in very subtle reverb, making the piano and singing sound as though it is being performed in a vast space -- Albert Hall, for example. I spoke with Dan Ireland after the viewing, who acknowledged this intention.

Also, if you get to see the film, keep your eye on the work of the colorist, especially in the scene in which Ms. Plowright walks along the street leading to the Claremont Hotel. Her despair is echoed by the draining of color from the scene, leaving a very muted sepia behind. Overall, color is managed beautifully managed throughout the film It's hard to believe, after seeing the film, that the producers "forgot" to submit the paperwork for an Oscar nomination consideration. Ms. Plowright's performance is supurb.
