Tryed to download the Magic Bullet Movie looks from the Vegas CD which can with it along witha light Boris version, problem..it wont load correctly.
Went to Red Giant home page and to Vegas support and found a so call fix that they were aware of and tried to install there new installer. Its the same thing from the Vegas CD. All it doesis down load a uninstall Movie Looks program. Anyone had this problem?

The Movie Looks is not a standalone program; no application will appear in your Start Menu. You access the movie looks under the Vegas VideoFX. Just look for "Magic Bullet Movie Looks" and apply it to your video. You can then choose one of the presets.

If it doesn't show up in the FX window, find the .dll file in the Magic Bullet folder, drag it and drop it on the Vegas timeline. This will register the plugin for you. Restart Vegas, you'll be good to go

Had exactly the same problem. It acts like it is extracting the files, and even pops up a box saying it is installed, but a Windows dialog box titled RegSvr32 comes up every time that says:

LoadLibrary("c:\program files\Movie Looks for Vegas\MovieLooks.dll") failed - The specified module could not be found.

Tried to drag and drop the dll on the timeline as suggested and it gave me the prohibited symbol and produced no result.

Ive got the same damn problems. Check out this entry
http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=285127

Ive filled out official email support to Sony on this and havent heard crap back yet.

This is really begining to piss me off.

Spot, what kind of proof do you have that your dragging the .dll onto the timeline will fix it.
All that does is have Vegas tell you that it doesnt recognize the file. As far as I can see, only media files can be dropped on the timeline.

Right now id just like to remove the Magic Bullet and have vegas work without those annoying errors but nothing seems to be able to do that. (i have removed all install and deleted all reg entries)

This may seem like a silly question, but do you have administrator rights to the machine you are trying to install it to ? Not having appropriate rights and privilages can produce this type of reaction.

I had the problem first time I usw\ed the one on the disk. I didn't use the fix from Magic Bullett either. I down loaded the 1.1 version of the effects from the Vegad 5.0a download site. That one has been updated with the corrected version. I installed that one, however prior to installing I removed the prevoius incorrectly instaklled version. The Magic Bullett FX plugins show up in my Vegs Video Plugins folder and work in Vegas as they should however I don't use them much because the are a real render hog.

the updates didnt work for me. found something that did tho.

when you get the errors when opening vegas, write down what the .dll files are.

find them on your system and copy them over to your windows directory. fixed it up quick.

I was talking with RedGiant about this and they were really unsure as to why it worked.
