If you are running the trial version there is a high likelyhood the media manager is not included.

The release notes say " Media Manager database upgrade".
I take this to mean that, if you didn'tt bother installing it for Vegas 7, it won't be there in Vegas 8.

I've checked the trial and the right one both have the same size, and I've already installed netframe3/3.5. No mentioning about the new manager.

Me to. No media manger. I installed Vegas 8 on Vista64 - MM not installed. Also have Vegas 7e installed - without MM. Not sure if the issue is related.

The Media Manager v2.3 trial version is not on the web site yet.

Vegas Pro 8 does include an updated Media Manager that uses SQL Server 2005 Express Edition SP2 which is also Vista compatible.

Separate download and installer which can be run either before or after the Vegas Pro 8 installer.

It comes on the CD of course for boxed versions.

.NET 3 is required by Vegas Pro 8 regardless of whether Media Manager v2.3 is installed as other parts of the application use it.
