Any thoughts on this one? Nice specs and that screen sounds perfect for on-location edits and presentations.

Expresscard slot for the EX1 media (I think that's what this has). Firewire and 4 USB2 slots. Blu-Ray burner included.

It looks pretty good. If you can afford it go with more memory, bigger hard drive, CPU. There's no video card choices but the nVidia listed here looks good. Skip Norton Security Suite (bloated, slow, bad). Add Adobe Premiere Elements. Even though you use Vegas it's nice to have another NLE to play around with. That's all for just a very quick review.

Be sure to compare the screen side-by-side with a comparably priced Sony before you decide.

The included blu-ray is a reader only (ROM).

I've got the 17" model. Yeah it's way cool.

Personally if it was me I wouldn't get anything but a Dell. :-)

Nice!
Just picked up a Dell 6400, and while it's heavy (power supply is heavier than my MacBook Pro) it absolutely rocks my world.
No BD burner in it, but I have externals for laptop use anyway.
Never thought I'd be a fan of monster-size laptop, but I sure am now.
Thanks to FrigidNDEditing for pointing me towards "BIG."
