The program stops responding after AUTOSAVE

Piotr-Diszer wrote on 4/2/2023, 4:02 PM

I have the latest version of the program. The program stops responding after AUTOSAVE automatic from the application or when I want to save something. Reaction to computer mouse or keyboard commands takes several seconds, while the program goes crazy, the interface disappears for a moment, random functions are activated. How to fix it? Does anyone have it, if so, let's make a class action lawsuit to the management of VEGAS. Working on the program is a nightmare.

@Piotr-Diszer, @John-Davidson

Talking about lawsuits may be seen a sign of strong mens. But as long as you are not more specific, eg in terms of the specification of your systems, about the footage you edit, about the settings in the software you apply, nobody in the top management will be afraid really.

Beside that, this is a user forum where users may be willing to help you as far as they can. But to be able to do so, there is the requirement for more information.

So I would suggest you to become more proactive, to deliver information and interact at eye level with those users, who may be willing to support you.

Reading the postings from @Piotr-Diszer, it has not become quite evident to me what the problems are. There were postings about GoPro footage, about computer specifications, the question of QSV, now about autosave. And so on.

In most cases there was no clear solution, was my impression. For example, do you have now an i-GPU? Do you see that in Vegas? Have you tried to reduce the memory allocation, what was too high with 50%?

Why do you not start with the type of footage you edit, with your actual hardware specifications, with your settings in the software? Nobody can know anything about all those points.

I found a solution. The program does not stop after pressing SAVE. But why did blocking this function in hidden preferences help? Do I have something wrong in public settings?

I've been sending class action packed bug reports to Vegas support, sometimes 8 reports in one day. And only one answer that didn't help: send the specs, replace the drivers, restart the program, and so on. But perhaps you are the Honorable Wolfgang on the trail of a conflict I have with the program. Please explain more to me what these I-GPU is, I will check it immediately as a good advice.

Turn off automatic project collections in HUB? There are some reports of that causing slowdowns after saves.

You can disable autosave in preferences general, FYI. I use advanced save myself.
