I'm gonna ask this question AGAIN, but let me rephrase: what do I lose by takin VV3 off my hard drive, and replacing it with CDA 5.0...I also have SF6 and acid 4...NOW can I get a straight answer from anyone on this..?

You lose Vegas whose PRIMARY purpose is to professionally edit Digital Video. All the other software is PRIMARILY used for professionally editing audio.

Actually you could probably eliminate SoundForge from the process. There isn't much you can do with SoundForge that you can't do with ACID + CDA or ACID + Vegas. Most likely you'd only need two of the applications. However, since you've already got them all paid for and installed, i wouldn't bother removing any of them.
One other thought for you to consider: CDA has a few CD burning features that Vegas doesn't have, but Vegas has a zillion or so editing features that CDA doesn't have!
Would it be wrong to assume then, that I could use vegas and SF6 "in tandem"..ya, I don't want to rid myself of any of these SF apps...right now, the only thing that seems to make sense is to start with pencil on paper, then acid, then END with CDA5...

Good idea..leave all your SoFo apps on your computer. You WILL want to use each of them someday. Besides, I'll bet that all SoFo apps together/combined/total use less c;/ drive space than Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, or any other group of like software from anyone else.
Sound Forge is the default audio editor in Vegas. I use ACIDPro to record voiceovers (I could use Vegas but I am just as wierd as anyone else in this biz)then add them to my finished .avi file in Vegas.
