The server was unable to complete the registration

I've just had to wipe my system hard drive and reinstall Windows 7 Pro.
I downloaded DVD Architect Pro 5.0b from the Sony Creative site and installed the application. After launching the app, when it requires me to register, I get the error message in the subject above, plus some addition text. Re-trying yields no positive results. I have a valid serial and machine ID. My business revolves around this application. I need HELP.
PLEASE!

Contact customer support and they'll reset your activation count.

I have the same issue. It has done this before. I call and suddenly it works. Now it's Friday night and I have a project that needs to be done for a client and I can't get any support. I have purchased multiple versions of Vegas and DVD architect over the years. They show in my account. When I try to get customer service suddenly I don't exist. Why would I ever upgrade if I can't use the software I have?

I would if I could. And why should I have to, over and over?

I would simply like to use the product I own. Is that too much to ask? I have the serial numbers. They have my serial number on the site in my account.

Like clockwork - its Friday so someone will have a problem with registration.

Reinstalling isn't the only thing that can trigger a registration. Substantial hardware changes on your PC can as well. I can't verify this, but you probably need cookies enabled when you register the software online. Also, if you install Vegas on a removable drive, it could trigger the registration.

If you choose to register via another computer (or the same computer in two steps) you will be given a code that will unlock the program. Then when you do a reinstall or a gremlin strikes, all you need do is reenter that code (provided that you haven't made any significant changes to your hardware in the meantime.)
