Hi guys !
Yesterday I tried vegas video demo, and I found it very
intuitive and inspirative !(Vegas is so compatibile with my
brain!!) - (heh!)
BUT, I stuck with a preview on an external s-vhs monitor.
After examination of this forum and finding more about OHCI
and DV, I think I found THE cheap solution ! (380 $)
How about: Pyro Digital Video/1394DV - firewire card
( http://www.videoguys.com/pyro.htm#pyro )
and: Hollywood DV-Bridge - Universal Solution for
Converting and Editing Analog and DV Video
(http://www.videoguys.com/hollywood.html)
So, vegas works with OHCI card and DV-bridge converts
firevare DV to analog s-video or vice versa.
Hey guys, what do You think ????
I'm an producer/audio engineer and with that system I would
like to load an 720x576 25fps cinepak .avi from my HD to an
vegas project, and than, when doing sound FX, I just want
to see video preview on an s-vhs monitor. (no video
editing, no video fx - just preview an input cinepak video
to an s-vhs output!)
What do you think? Will it work that way ??
And, how much of %CPU will this preview use ??? (of an PIII
800 mhz - one video track, no edits, cinepak 720x576)
Thats all.
Waiting for opinions.

PS: sorry on my bad English ! :-)
