The timecode that you entered can't be found

Using Batch Capture (V5) I get this error all of the time. I click "done" and then "batch capture" again and it has no problem finding the timecode...any thoughts?

Is the timecode Vegas is looking for in an area of the tape where there is not enough space for preroll?

I would think you mean at the very beginning of the tape...if so no. It captures the first several clips at the head of the tape and then the next clip in sequence can't be found until I click "done' (and they go to the media pool) and then hit "batch capture" again.
