There're audio peaks but there's no sound when playing the preview

Sometimes when I play the preview, there's no sound coming out intermittently. Although there're still audio peaks as usual, I've tried to replay that part again but the sound still didn't come out. So I need to wait for a while and go back to that part so the sound will come out. This problem first seen when I've formatted my computer and newly install Vegas pro.

This problem occasionally happened while editing, it's not a big problem but just really annoying to me. If anyone know how to fix this, please let me know 😭😭😭😭 (and sorry if I can't explain clearly 'cause this problem is kinda hard to explain)

Ps. Probably this thing called "Audio clipping" (by that I mean there is a 1-2 seconds of no audio) randomly in the video.

Clipping would not cause the audio to cut out.. intermittently or otherwise. Intermittent sound is usually a physical connection issue. Check the wires, jacks and plugs and going from the soundcard (or audio interface) to the power amp and speakers or self-powered monitors for oxidation and corrosion. Low cost molded-on 3.5 mm TRS plugs (and cables) are a typical weak point and a cause of Intermittent sound.
If it occurs at the same place(s) on the timeline. I would look for an automated mute or volume envelope that could have been inadvertently set.

If you can post the file on GoogleDrive, WeTranfer or other cloud site, we can inspect the file itself. MediaInfo attributes would not reveal anything in this case.
