There’s a Seismic Event going on.....

......as the separating Pangea-like, INTEL Techtontic Plate crashes into the New APPLE M1. Oh yeah, this M1 consumes far less watts making it Greener too. Hop-on over to Tom’s Shareware for some flickering Richter-Scale-Seismic Needle comparisons on these newly etched M1 CPUs.

My newly recovered i9 is already feeling the aftershocks of this particular Subductive Zone displacement. Looks like APPLE had gotten really restless and impatient waiting for the continued “blinking” by the INTEL Megalith to produce a chippy-chip, and got on with the job of Rollin’ their Own Silicon.

Well, this is a cosy spot for me.

So, here’s another INTEL i9 v APPLE M1 face off...

I don't think this is going to help Vegas users except that it may push Intel and AMD to innovate more.

@RogerS - Really? And how is that NOT going to help Vegas Users? Competition has to be a good thing. Wont the improved architecture, with the blistering render and real time options be something that will have our own Scrum-Masters and Vegineers salivating?

And thanks for responding, maybe this will make an opening for others to circle around. Oh yeah, this Lean-Mean-Silicon-Machine consumes far less power, so gets a Green Thumbs up from me.

PS: Vegineers, that’s mine! Do you like it?

Exactly, you are repeating what I said- while Apple-specific hardware is useless to Vegas users, it may push Intel and AMD.

It has limitations too, like integrated ram that tops off at 16GB, limited I/O, etc. but M2 may improve on this.
