Things I Need To Know about Closed Captioning

I was a little unimpressed with the coverage of the closed captioning capabilities now available in Vegas. I am CCing my show right now and could certainly use some of these questions answered if Sony is there or anyone else knows.

1. How can I preview my captioning process while entering. "How can I see it on the screen"
2. Is there a limit to letters or words per CC event marker. "how many words per line to look normal on TV"
3. Outputting the captioning to MXF. through SDI, HDSDI, Firewire??
4. Does the output require a Blackmagic or Aja card.

It would be real nice if a detailed timeline of creating, adjusting, monitoring, then outputting closed captioning could be put together. I could certainly use the info as I am captioning 26 episodes right now.

Any help would be most apreciated.

The recent webinar, Vegas Pro Update – Highlighting the New Features, covered this new feature.
Have a look at it and see if it answers your questions.

Sorry L.T. but I didn't realize you were talking about the webinar.
Hopefully someone knowledgeable will chime in here and answer your questions.

Much apreciated. Unfortunately i think Sony may well be the only ones who truly know.

I can't say about the webinar but i can say that your thread in April about this same topic I replied too on April 14, and what i said than still stands now. Re-check your thread called "Thank you Sony one step closer to broadcast" and my reply "CC - slighty misleading" and see if it helps.
