Thinking about loudspeakers...

Hi, fellas...

I'm an audio professional and yesterday it was the first time I saw a HDTV tape played with a LCD monitor. It was amazing! Then I noticed that the same "distance" between a HDTV tape and a S-VHS exists between Hi-End loudspekers and cheap ones. I know Hi-End loudspeakers are too expensive, but my suggestion is to purchase the best you can afford. It is extremely significant the way you can identify each instrument (and its relative levels and timbres in a mix) using good quality loudspeakers.

I've had the 824's for a couple of years and like them. Very low listener fatigue.

One comment that hit home is that if you have very good monitor speakers be sure and listen to your final mix on some average speakers. You may want to tweak things a bit.

BTW monitors are like religion.
