This would be a cool feature...

Maybe it's already a feature? In Soundforge you can scan a file and receive a report of every peak. Is this possible in Vegas? I would love to scan an entire project with a "press of a button" and get a report of every over from plug-ins, files, etc. Things that would potentially cause distortion.

Make sense?

Just a visual waveform, no analysis report. I still find listening with a good pair of
headphones or monitor speakers the most important.

However, with specs for ATSC (digital tv in US) this might help us to be compliant.
Good suggestion.

RC, yes you're correct. And this is ALSO a kool idea.

Sometime back I asked for a way to log the "RED" flags we get on our mixer sliders, same as we get to see Clipping in SF? Now THAT would be useful, and THEN i could hone in on the aberrant audio with monitors/cans.
