Anyone using RX5 thinking of upgrading? Anyone using Neutron? I'm toying with the idea of upgrading to RX6 Advanced because it contains dewind but have yet to trial it.
Yeah, it was the DeWind that I was mostly suckered in by AND I hadn't UG-ed since Izo4 Adv and thought the offer PLUS the 2 year period I owed it to myself that I'd put down the folding! - So, got the Eml comms yesterday that iZoRX6 Adv was ready for me to access, only to be informed that their servers have had an issue with the rush?! - They KNOW how many pre-orders they have had. They've had my money for 2 weeks?!
Kinda takes the gloss of the cabinet - yeah?
Anyhoo, been playing with the RX5 Adv "Come and Get Me" offer and even that is miles better than RX4 - IMHO!
Already nasty, distracting Wind gusts on mic noises have been 95% eliminated and I'm left with the rustle of grass and leaves - as it should be. - And that's the clever bit: Somebody has taken the time to realise the "As it should be" vector and converted that wish into an algorithm. The iZo "Hobbits" have worked on this muchly.
As I said, very early days, but just this one Tool has reinvigorated my belief in this company. And BTW, it is working in VP14 as a Preferred Audio Editor Out-and-Back again.
Thanks Grazie, very impressive! Good to know it works with Vegas 14. I managed to download a trial so I'm going to test it out with some wind noise from Catbells
Based on Grazie's positive response, I took the plunge and upgraded to RX6 Adv. Wow! So many more options in the menu than in RX5 - I wasn't expecting so many new options even after looking at iZotope's product web page. So far, I've only used with any seriousness the updated de-clip and de-esser on a VO. RX6's de-esser is so much better than before - that in itself has made the update worthwhile for me. Thus far, RX6 is an unexpectedly impressive improvement on RX5. I'm looking forward to trying out the de-wind function. Oh, and a quick play with Mouth De-Click was encouraging.
The only thing I really find annoying with RX is the lack of centreing to the curser as occurs in SoundForge.
D, yes. What's neat is that iZo has returned to understanding what we want and need to get the job done. The D-Wind has an interesting intelligent feature to work the rubbish out sideways.
How did you get the download? I've download the advanced version and the suite from iZotope directly but after installing I'm not seeing any modules from the advanced version. Did you have any problems with installation? Thanks
How did you get the download? ......Did you have any problems with installation? Thanks
Having purchased through the pre-release iZoRX6 Advanced OFFER, I was sent the iZotope email directing me to iZotope, where I downloaded iZotope RX6 Advanced. In the installer I picked off the elements I required and installed. All went very well.
I logged in and went to the products download page, downloaded and installed using ad admin account. I've now sent an email to iZotope's support about the situation.
