Thumb nails and other things

Well I have to say so far I like DVD-A, with a few things I would like to see changed.
Highlighting of thumb nail, how about just the frame.
Selection menu creation, how about right click on file drag to create selection sub-menu.
Second audio track, can or could this be done? From the MC AC-3 encoder list of options you can choose from alt, hearing impaired, ect.

You can highlight just the frame by setting the "Highlight style" on the page properties to "Image rectangle" or "Image mask overlay".

DVD-A does not provide functionality for adding a second audio track.

This is not true! Both of these options highlight the frame and the thumbnail. Image rectangle highlights beyond the frame. It looks like hell! Image mask highlights the frame and thumbnail. None of the options highlight the frame only. This needs to be fixed!

I've found that my tastes prefer that you use text rectangle under highlight style then select a constrasting color that stands out against the template or background image that's behind the thumbnails. For example if your see the default blue gradient background, setting the highlight color to red (R255 G0 B0) yields a kind of a blood red, which contrasts nicely with the blue background over white text.

Have you tried the Text Mask Overlay under Highlighting Style?
Really nice subtle highlighting with choice of colour/transparency.
The big "blob" of a rectangle tends to look fairly ugly IMHO, but this is a nice choice.

After a couple of problems Preparing DVD, my first two burns, one on Akai media, one on an El Cheapo "Shintaro" disc, both work in a Singer set top player on TV, so I'm a happy camper.

Software playback is strange - neither Power DVD nor WinDVD seem to have a back to Menu choice - maybe this is one of the things fixed in the new build 184 - I'll burn a third disc and try ....

You're right. Highlighting the frame and not the image in the frame is not possible in this version of DVD-A.

Yes, highlighting just the button frame would be a nice choice. Additionally, I need to bypass the menu (considering the present problems!) and autoplay chain linked files as I was able to do in DVDWS! Using the single movie option will not do the trick even when used in connection with the introduction media (it only plays the introduction media=:-(. Also, getting the menu out of the loop and limiting the menu display to say 10, 20 or 30 seconds for "remote dummies" would be a great addition!!!
