Thumbnails for MOV files

Hi there,

In my explorer I can see thumbs for almoast all other formats, but somehow for movie files I only see the icon for the program that is associated with the MOV format (at the moment thats Quicktime, but changing the program also changes the icons)

I've tried some things already , like this registry hack that was supposed to change this behavior:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mov\shellex]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mov\shellex\{3D1975AF-0FC3-463d-8965-4DC6B5A840F4}]
@=""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mov\shellex\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]
@="{c5a40261-cd64-4ccf-84cb-c394da41d590}"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mov\shellex\{E357FCCD-A995-4576-B01F-234630154E96}]
@="{9DBD2C50-62AD-11D0-B806-00C04FD706EC}"

Does anybody have another idea that might work?

Marcel

NEW EDIT: I read another post here just now and I noticed its only with particular MOV files, normal MOV files from my Canon 6D do have thumbs, the ones that have an issue are larger from a stocksite...they have alpha channels and different framerates:

HD 1920x1080 @ 29.97 fps Quicktime with Transparent Alpha Channel (.mov)
