Thumbnails have disappeared from timeline

I am very puzzled. I have completed several successful projects but, when I loaded Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platimum 6.0 tonight, I can no longer see the video thumbnails in my time-line. The video time line is all white and the audio timeline does not display the audio waveform line. The time-line does not display the "Media is offline" message. Also, when I double click a clip in the Explorer, the clip goes into the Trimmer, but there is no audio waveform to be seen in the trimmer. I can hear the audio when I run the trimmer or run the timeline.

I have not changed any defaults and I can see no defaults settings that would cause this to happen.

If I play the timeline it plays fine and both video and sound appear in the Video Preview window. Also, the trimmer will play, but as I have said there is no audio wave form showing in the trimmer.

The only thing I did after I made my first successful movies was to sucessfully add a second hard drive and move my clips and the .vf files to the 2nd drive.

I have rebooted the computer and started a new project, but I still can't see the video thrumbnails that represent a given video clip, nor any audio in the timeline nor can I see any audio waveform in the trimmer. I have expanded the timeline as well, but this makes no difference.

I hope this is just a setting problem... anyone know?

This setting has been moved in the newest version of Vegas 6. I don't know if it's been moved in Vegas Studio 6 or not. I'll tell you both places to look.

It may be under View / Waveforms and Frames. If it's not there then ...

It may be under Options / Preferences / General / Draw waveforms and frames in events.

In either case, you probably turned this off and you want it to be on.

Thank you Cheinworks. That did it. There's one I'll remember. I owe you a beer.

Cheers!
