You mean THX intro used in the front of major motion pictures? Not legal to use, but it's probably around on the web somewhere. It's likely in an mpeg, DivX, or Xvid format if it's on the web.
http://www.pocketmovies.net/detail_37.html used to have it, if my bookmark is still good. But that was for your windows startup, not the real/recent deal.

Like Spot said they are illeagal to use in one of your own videos, plus getting the audio mix into vegas is a bit complicated.
But if you just want to watch them or use them to demo a sound set up, Home Theater Essentials DVD (like a step down from the AVIA disc) has about 6 THX trailers on it including the ones you mentioned.

legal to watch for non commercial use

SONY and Dolby are both big advertisers on this site -- so they can't mind to much ...

This looks great, but I can't get anything to download.
I've tried everything I can think of to open up my IE security, not blocking popups, etc, still no luck.

The ones you mentioned are actually FREE from Dolby.

You must sign a techinical and trademarks release and you can order
them directly from Dolby.

Search on the AC3 forum here. It was one of the first questions asked.

THX is a different company and you must meet certain technical standards to use their encoding and logos.

Well it is a bit more complicated than that. You need to submit an example of what you are doing and they look it over ("listen" to it over) to make sure it meets their guidlines. Also you must use a certified Dolby program to do the mix - and yes, Vegas fits into that. Yes the Dolby logo and trailers are "free" but you have to take a few more steps that just signing something to get them.

Here are the direct links:

Distributor application

Dolby Trailers

* Permission to use the trailers is granted upon completion of the Trademark Agreement licensing process and a Trailer Agreement.
