is there any way to make a ticker type bar that I could easily copy paste and update in different projects

Create a text event as long as you wish, then use the Placement tab and keyframes to start the event off to the right of the frame and move to the left. Change the length of the event to speed it up or slow it down.

Perhaps you could use the Credit Roll (in the Media Generator section).
